On June 6-8, 2014, I participated in the New.Now.Next Media Conference organised by the Asian American Journalists Association and the Journalism and Media Studies Centre of the University of Hong Kong.
During the conference I covered three panels for the conference website. Here are the links to my articles:
To cap off my Master of Journalism program at The University of Hong Kong, I got to direct a 13-minute documentary about The Sea Ranch, a 1970s luxury development in a remote area of Hong Kong’s Lantau Island, which later fell on bad times and is now a unique residential enclave.
The film was completed as part of the one-month, intensive Documentary Film Production course, taught by Ruby Yang. I worked with Yaruunaa Oyunbazar and LI Chen. It took us three weeks to complete the project, which included four days of shooting.
The documentary has been featured in Hong Wrong blog.
